Former pro football player Jason Carthen is not only an author, public speaker, and television personality, but President/CEO of Redeemed Management & Consulting, an Adjunct Professor at Bethel University and affiliated faculty member in Business Management at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Carthen believes in using his platform as a catalyst for positive change in the lives of others, young and old. He does this through Redeemed Management and Consulting (RMC), The Leaders of Tomorrow Initiative (L.O.T.), I Speak Life Seminars and more.

“One of the big things for me is that being a former professional football player really allows me to utilize my platform,” Carthen said.

Speaking all over the world and here in the U.S., plus offering one-on-one mentoring and training, sets him apart.

The Importance of Intention

“The idea of being able to share what has helped me, my story, which some people feel is very powerful because of the adversity that I faced and was able to overcome because of my faith, because of God blessing me, and today being able to move forward, it’s very important for me to get that message out,” Carthen shared.

“One of the big things for me is making sure I am intentional with helping others,” he continued.

And he accomplishes this in 3 particular ways, including Civic Engagement, Training and Coaching, and Philanthropy.

On civic engagement, he says “We want to be intentional in the community.”

As for the training and coaching, he says it’s about “helping people reach their goals and giving them the best possible solutions to be able to do that. “

Lastly, touching on the aspect of philanthropy, he says “We do a lot of things in the community, free of charge, whether it’s our mentoring program, or the opportunity to do our camps and scholarship programs.”

His main mission always goes back to finding solutions for individuals and organizations to reach their goals.

Working with Companies & Personal Coaching

“We work with fortune 500 companies and also work with individuals that really want to improve or develop in certain capacities but don’t know how to go about doing that,” Carthen shared.

“We have high level training and coaching,” he continued.

The training and coaching is held at Indiana Wesleyan University and all over the world.

“It’s tailored to the individuals that wouldn’t have access to the resources to take advantage of our services,” he said.

“We try to figure out the best way to really help people achieve what they want to achieve. We make it about them and want to position them for a tremendous level of success,” he continued.

I Speak Life Seminars

Along with working with companies, Carthen started “I Speak Life”, a special program of RMC, which runs 6 months to a year, depending on each individual.

This includes 2 hours of face-to-face direct seminar contact which allows the individual to grow and develop their capacity.

The Class

“When people come they are there for so many different reasons. Some want to grow and improve their business. Some want to expand their business offerings. Some want to monetize what they have already. I take them through, very systematically, how they can do that,” Carthen said.

Carthen provides cohort model interaction, online instruction and worksheets so one is able to grow and develop their platform, brand and speaking and writing opportunities.

“There’s a great myriad of backgrounds, from individuals that have been writing for a while, to individuals who speak all over the globe, to individuals that are MBA’s working at Cleveland Clinic. So you have a myriad of people where you can draw upon different life experiences and improve your platform, your writing and your speaking. If it allows people to grow and develop, that’s my heart,” Carthen said.

And some decide to take it even further.

“Many want to refine it even more so they sign up for coaching and video presentations. We have a full studio where we bring people in and develop their brand, record them, edit the product and give it to them to post on their website or use for marketing tools,” Carthen said.
